COSMETIC PROCEDURES

Cosmetic and plastic are typically more minor outpatient procedures, focused primarily on appearance.

For weight loss medication patients, we know that patients with a significant amount of weight loss will often have a group of surgeries specifically targeting weight loss from the face and neck, sometimes referred to as “Ozempic face.” They include:

  • Face lift
  • Eyelid surgery
  • Neck lift
  • Medical implants and fillers

FREQUENTLY PERFORMED SURGERIES/PROCEDURES

TUMMY TUCK (Minor Panniculectomy 180-degree circumference)

Tummy Tuck (Minor Panniculectomy): surgical procedure that removes excess skin and tissue from the front a patient’s abdomen, less than 180-degree circumference. Primarily a procedure for weight loss medication patients. If you are someone who has less excess abdominal weight loss but still loose skin, you may be a candidate for minor panniculectomy/tummy tuck [hyperlink].
Liposuction (Lipoplasty, Suction Lipectomy): procedure that removes excess fat from beneath the skin’s surface. For patients with significant weight loss, it is often combined with other advanced contouring procedures and for patients with less weight loss or weight loss in specific areas, it can be used alone.
Breast Augmentation (Augmentation Mammaplasty): surgical procedure that enlarges the breast using implants or fat transplants. This procedure can help reshape the chest after weight loss and improve excess and hanging skin.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy): surgical procedure that raises the breasts by removing excess skin while simultaneously tightening tissues to reshape and support the breasts. This is often performed after successful weight loss for patients with excess skin.

Labiaplasty: surgical procedure that reduces the size of skin folds surrounding your urethra and vagina. This is a frequent procedure for patients with dramatic weight loss.

Labiaplasty: surgical procedure that reduces the size of skin folds surrounding your urethra and vagina. This is a frequent procedure for patients with dramatic weight loss.

Facelift (Rhytidectomy): surgical procedure that involves removal of excess skin and tightening of skin to reduce sagging in the face, jowls, neck. It can be performed in concert with eyelid surgery as a treatment for “Ozempic face”
Neck Reduction/Lift (lower rhytidectomy): surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the neck, tightening the neck to decrease the appearance of sagging after weight loss
Rhinoplasty: surgical procedure that involves reshaping or restructuring the nose. These procedures can also treat some forms of obstructive sleep apnea.
Septoplasty: surgical procedure to repair and treat deviated septum.
Otoplasty: surgical procedures that involve altering the size, shape, or position of ears.
Spider vein reduction (Sclerotherapy): treatment for reduction of spider veins, a common problem for post-bariatric surgery and weight loss medical patients.
